It's time to focus on creating content on dreamwidth, which seems like a good time to try to give this comm a re-boot.
Since me doing the check-in posts every day doesn't seem to work so well (sorry guys) does anyone want to offer to do check-ins? If we get enough people, we could get each person to claim one day per week.
Comment with what days(s) you would be willing to do, if you want! Alternately, give some suggestions of food-related topics you'd like to talk about here in the next 3 weeks.
ETA: I'm watching the American documentary Forks Over Knives (2011) (ETA2: sorry, I just realized this trailer needs a TW* for fat shaming, health fear-mongering ("diabetus!!"), weight loss before and after photos and also a brief shot of a surgery in progress where you can see blood trailer, imdb page) which, the official summary says, "[e]xamines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods."
Would anyone be interested in reading a review?
*I apologize if anyone clicked the trailer before I put up the warning and was triggered.

Date: 2012-04-27 11:29 pm (UTC)I've been insanely busy - and I will continue to be so until late May @__@
I can write these check-in posts, though, as I do find it entertaining! I particularly like the beginning of the week, that is, when I have energy, i.e. Sunday and Monday.
If no one else emerges, then I could try to show up throughout the rest of the week!
I'm personally interested in the psychological neuroses connected to eating, but it's rather unappetizing to discuss.

Date: 2012-04-27 11:56 pm (UTC)If no one else wants to, you can do the beginning of the week and I can do the end. I think I can manage a couple days a week.
I think that's definitely an important topic when it comes to eating healthy, and we can certainly talk about it. Did you have a particular starting point in mind, or just the topic in general?

Date: 2012-04-28 12:24 am (UTC)That sounds reasonable! ^_^ I can start this Sunday. Maybe by then I'll have additional food icons.
I want to discuss the point at which performance anxiety develops into a full-fledged eating aversion!

Date: 2012-04-28 02:41 am (UTC)Okay!
That sounds interesting, if you write a post (and be sure to include trigger warnings) I would be happy to read and discuss it.

Date: 2012-04-28 02:39 am (UTC)It has more problems than just being mostly obvious information, but I can detail them in a review.
