Is everyone still here?
Have you managed to eat decently despite the dearth of regular reminders?
Comment here and let me know what is going on. I'm not interested in how much, just that you did.
I personally just came out of Finals.
Socrates: What is your definition of "just"?
This millenium, the Anno Domini one!

Yikes, what four did you have? Last semester all my classes were in the late afternoon. In the spring I have a mid-morning class and all Tuesday evening. (All on-campus.)

Date: 2011-12-18 03:17 pm (UTC)I think all my typing I learned on my own, for... not very high success rates. xD; Compared with some people, I type very slowly. Compared with others, I type rather quickly. It depends on whether I have my thought figured out before I start typing. Typically not - and I mostly type miscellaneous thoughts, not dictation.

Date: 2011-12-18 04:12 pm (UTC)I find if you're not already up there, it's pretty much not happening, though, which is pretty discouraging.I have a far greater accuracy in dictation if I've had a big breakfast despite the morning anorexia, then also if my listening and scribing are at separate times - of complete phrases, so you can fill in the blanks.
Paying close attention, then recording my memory.
They say my memory is strong, but everything is all basically already there. Trying to explain what I mean by that... um... if you fall into a habit... I don't know.
Mnemonic devices seriously help. Oh, I don't know if that'd help recording verbatim what people say... I DO find it easier to repeat nonsense and not think about it until later, even if it's better for actual understanding to try to catch the meaning first, then record the fresh personal memory.
