I won't bore you with the particulars: something is very wrong with my throat - possibly tonsillitis - and I can't really eat anything but liquids at the moment. I am planning to go to the doctor about this, but don't have a day off of work until Thursday. The last couple of days, I have barely been able to consume a quarter of my caloric needs; this is making me cold, cranky, and tired. I have soup, smoothies, vegan yogurts, etc. but they just aren't cutting it - did I mention I have to be able to consume this rapidly and in the course of 2-3 meals since I work at least ten hours daily and can't have drinks on me while at work? And that I have a hiatal hernia so trying to consume an extremely large volume at once doesn't jive? Basically, I need a ton of nutrition packed into something liquid, small and easily prepared/consumed. Does anyone know of a super calorie dense drink that is vegan-friendly? Or something that would puree well enough to be tolerable? Or any other suggestion for this problem?

You might also consider mixing some sort of vegetable oil into anything you consume, just for extra calories. (Canola is pretty flavorless and would probably be masked by most things. Or nut oil - that tastes of nuts, obviously, but that might go well with your smoothies or shakes.)
