Question: weekly recipe post?
Sep. 8th, 2011 09:34 pmOne of my biggest problems with eating healthy regularly is thinking of things to eat. I got myself a cookbook to try and help with broadening what I know how to make, but I also like hearing what other people try for inspiration, especially with food that is on hand.
Would people be interested in having a weekly recipe post of some sort? I was thinking of having a theme, 10 minute meals, or what to do with broccoli, or easy lunches, or so your neighbor gave you twenty tomatoes from the garden, now what? (it could happen). If you want to do this and have ideas, feel free to comment with them, and let me know if you want to try this.
ETA:
Themes suggested so far. Comment if you want to add any!
- ten minute meals
- vegetable of the week
- easy lunches
- so your neighbor gave you twenty tomatoes from the garden, now what?
- vegetarian
- fish recipes
- easy breakfast
- healthy sweets/dessert
- 999 things to put in an omelet
- the many uses of rice
- soups (this one would be a great theme for fall/winter)
- things to do with pumpkins (around Halloween)
- various national cuisines - there could be weeks for Italian food, Indian food, Mexican food, etc.

Date: 2011-09-09 02:44 am (UTC)I only have one cookbook right now, but we can definitely do a rec set of cookbooks. That would actually be really good for me too because I almost ran screaming from the cookbook section, overwhelmed by all of them.
